Phlebotomy technicians, on the other hand, collect blood from patients and prepare those samples for laboratory testing. Most work in hospitals and clinics. Phlebotomy technicians are vital members of the healthcare team who frequently explain collection procedures and reassure anxious patients. This program equips students with the essential knowledge and skills required to successfully enter the job market. The Center offers this training as a four-week combined program, or a two-and-a-half-week individual course. Enrolling in the combined Electrocardiography and Phlebotomy course provides students with expanded career opportunities.
